Default A/Ra Critical Interupter

Critial Strikes 12 + 3 + 1
Marksmanship 12

Focused Shot
Critical Defenses
Way of the Assassin(e)
Critical Eye
Sharpen Dagger
Disrupting Accuracy
Favorable Winds
Res Sig

The new preperation Disrupting Accuracy causes crits to interupt your target.
With that lot you have 72% crit chance, so just spamm auto fire with focused for extra damage for constant higher damage(compared to a sav/dist interupter)interupts. You also get bleeding from Sharpen Daggers.

Critical Defenses can give you endless 75% blocking if your lucky.
You could drop critical eye for Troll Unguent if you wanted some healing, apart from that its just got 4s of prep time at the begining then 2s/2s every 16s odd which is annoying.

Also no you cant fit Tiger's Fury in there :/, Way of the Assassin is a stance.

Wrong forum.

Troll has a 3 secs casting time, not 4.

And truely, if I can see the potential of an assassin with a bow now especially with the new ranger skills of NF, you won't beat a good ole punshoter at interupting, or a chocking gaz ranger.

The problem of this build is the lack of reliability of the interupts. You cannot plan to interupt something: you attack and by chance you interupt. That's merely a damage dealing build then, with an "interupt" secondary effect. Having both is interesting indeed, but for intereupting, I'd go with one of the 2 builds mentioned above - for damage dealing, I'd use one of the many damage build for R/x with 16 marksmanship.

Sharpen Daggers is nothing special if your not hitting multiple targets. You might aswell just replace it with Screaming Shot(?) and cause bleeding if they're too close, more reliable and not wasted as you only need to use it once per target.

Well it uses a bow and bow attacks so its more of a ranger than an assassin but if a mod moves it fair enough.

I realise a pure spec interuptor will do that better, the build is more of a combination of damage and interupting. But maybe the name I used was abit misleading :/.
With mesmers and monks usualy casting <1s spells you cannot plan to interupt them anyway because of game latency and flight time so sav/dis/pun are just spammers against those themselves.

Evilsod Sharpen Daggers is required as its the enchant pre requisite for Way of The Assassin.

My Theorycrafting might be off this time but it looked good on paper , Ill probably still give it a go once NF is released.

Interesting, but why base a whole skill bar to this when a ranger could do the same with distracting shot, savage shot, and melandru's arrows?

Oh by the way, have you considered this skill:

Keen Arrow: 5 energy. 6 secs recharge. Bow Attack. If this attack hits, you strike for +5...13 damage. If you land a critical hit, you deal an additional +5...17 damage.

Looks pretty much the same as Focused Sir Mad but with crit requirement.

My bad title skills have obviously led to some confusion here. People are looking at it as a pure interupt spec in which it is obviously not as good as the vanila Savage+distracting Rangers.

I often play the latter because its an unpopular play style in my guild. I also dont like it that much either as its low damage apart from poison and its frustrating when you mis your timed interupts to super fast monk and mesmer casts.

So looking through the new skills this was the first thing I came up with. The build was supposed to up the damage a fair bit making it more fun and making you more usefull overall because 7 out of every 10 arrows is critting while at the same time retaining a respectable but not stellar interupt capacity. Bleed is only 1 pip less than poison so you dont lose out much there either.

You could drop Focused for Savage so you still have that gaurenteed interupt when you need it and just go by auto fire crits inbetween.
